Tamara Falcó's new car: “When you switch to an electric car like this you don't want another one”

Tamara Falcó enjoys a new car. And it's electric. It is a high-performance model that, with a top speed of 260 km/h, can accelerate to 100 km/h from a standstill in just 3.5 seconds. With these credentials, some must think that we are referring to some German sports car. But not; Nothing is further from reality, we are talking about the Kia EV6 GT, a South Korean model that has been distinguished with important international awards, including the best car of the year in Europe 2022.

The brand has chosen the Marquise de Griñón as its new ambassador. She is not the first daughter of Isabel Preysler to join the car company. A few months ago, Ana Boyer's work debuted and then her husband, the tennis player Fernando Verdasco. In addition to the aforementioned celebrities, the actress and singer Carolina Cerezuela and the athlete Rafa Nadal, who has been the image of the company for more than two decades, are also part of the Kia family.

The president of Kia Iberia, Emilio Herrera, wanted to highlight that Tamara Falcó's career as an entrepreneur and her innovative vision of design are in line with the brand's new philosophy. Called “Opposites United”, the firm's stylistic conception is based on five fundamental pillars: audacity by nature, joy from reason, tension for serenity, technology for life and the power of progress. And the influencer claims to feel identified with them.

Tamara highlighted the EV6 GT for its minimalist design, the feeling of spaciousness, the brightness of the interior and its practicality for day-to-day life: “they are just the same things I was looking for when choosing my house, which make you feel good in a space and enjoy living it”. She was also very interested in the feel and functionality of the materials used, such as fabrics made from recycled plastics.

The Marchioness of Griñón, interested in environmental sustainability, has made the leap to electric mobility because “protecting planet Earth is everyone's responsibility and one of the best legacies that we can leave to the following generations.” “Electric cars help eliminate pollution and noise from cities, making them more livable,” she highlighted.

The Kia EV6 is an electric crossover with a length of 465 centimeters and a trunk of 480 liters (there is also a space of about 20 liters under the hood that allows storing charging cables). The GT version is the top of the range in terms of performance and is distinguished by equipping specific elements, such as 21-inch wheels, an aerodynamic rear deflector and an exclusive diffuser.

This car is powered by two electric motors, which are mounted one on each axis; hence it has all-wheel drive. The front develops 218 CV, while the rear delivers 367 CV (total power is 585 CV). For its part, the maximum torque is also high, reaching 605 Nm. The EV6 GT is the fastest Kia ever. With a top speed of 260 km/h, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.

In terms of autonomy, the car incorporates a 77.4 kWh battery that, with an approved average consumption of 20.6 kWh per 100 km, allows it to travel 427 kilometers. Thanks to its 800 volt charging system, it can be recharged from 10 to 80% in 18 minutes. In addition, it has the V2D function that allows the energy stored in the car battery to be used to power external devices or to charge another electric vehicle when necessary.

Tamara claims to have been able to see firsthand the virtues of her new car: “the battery lasts many kilometers, it recharges very quickly, it drives great and it has a lot of space. Furthermore, with the zero emissions environmental label I can move freely around the city and park wherever I want. And they have shown me how the Kia Charge App works, which helps me find chargers to recharge it outside the home. “When you switch to an electric car like this, you no longer want another type of car.”
