Star Wars fans already have the bike so that the force be with them

Every time a new audiovisual installment of the Star Wars saga arrives, a multitude of products are put on sale aimed at millions of fans of the adventures of the galaxies. We are used to seeing merchandising items such as t-shirts, mugs, notebooks... But, bikes? The prestigious North American cycling brand GT has decided to delight all those fans of the Star Wars Mandalorian series who love pedaling and create a limited edition of its Pro Performer 29, with the help of the Lucasfilm production company.

GT is a cycling firm known for its almost five decades of history, for manufacturing models suitable for the road and, above all, cross and freestyle bikes capable of even doing stunts in the air.

The Mandalorian GT version is based on the successful Pro Performer 29, but with clear nods to the Star Wars universe. It is a vehicle with simple lines, which fits two huge 29-inch tires on two five-spoke wheels, has a one-speed transmission and is made of chrome tubes. The new version of the bike is, specifically, a tribute to Din Djarin, the protagonist and main character of the series.

Some of the details that can be seen in this collector's version are, for example, its allusions to the Dark Saber, evident above all in the painting of the bike frame, which oscillates between a shiny part on the front and an elegant matt look. in the rear area.

The stylish padded seat, which is made of synthetic leather, comes with some amazing graphics that only very fans of the Star Wars galaxy will be able to decipher. It also presents a metallic part that wants to evoke this very “Mandalorian” vehicle. The Mudhorn clan shield is also striking, which is present both on the seat and on the handlebars and on the trims.

A hallmark of GT and the brand's BMX roots, these trims serve as protective pads for jumping and flipping on the Pro Performer 29. These pads are partly made of natural raffia and, if you look closely, they catch a glimpse of Mando's silhouette.

Another point that differentiates this special version from the standard one are the metallic blue decorative elements distributed throughout the bike. It also differs in price, higher in the case of the special edition: while the standard costs about 700 euros, the Mandalorian version amounts to 1,100 euros.

Only 500 units of this whim have been made, and it comes in a specially designed oversized box with the Star Wars logo. Even the most die-hard collectors will be embarrassed to get their bike dirty with mud. Whether you are a fan of the galaxy saga or not, you can learn more about the GT range by taking a look at the video that accompanies this article.
