The Palencia City Council has prepared a program with exhibitions, cinema, round tables and a bicycle ride, among other things for the IV Sustainable Mobility Fair that will take place from this Saturday until next September 23.
The mayor of the capital, Miriam Andrés, together with the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Judith Castro, presented this Friday the programming of a "very complete" week that aims to make Palencia "a reference city in the promotion and use of sustainable and clean means of mobility" Castro pointed out.
Thus, this Sunday the activities will begin with a drone flight course and exhibitions on Dos Aguas Island, and an orientation race on sustainable mobility. In the afternoon, the Gardens will host a BMX exhibition and a skate show.
On Monday and Tuesday, the film Wall-e and the Green Bicycle will be screened at the Ortega Theater at 10:30 and 17:30. In addition, on Tuesday there will also be two workshops, one at Decathlon for bicycle assembly and repair and another for electric skates at the Las Huertas Shopping Center.
On Wednesday, September 20, Los Jardinillos park will host a science workshop called 'Carbon sequestration in the soil', how trees contribute to reducing the pollution emitted by the use of fossil fuels. And the Hall, a green tour about the quality of Palencia's trees.
The training and dissemination sessions on Keys to Success for sustainable business models will take place on Thursday the 21st, in the courtyard of the Principal theater, with the participation of Omawa, Renault, Mahle and Zunder.
On Friday, September 22, coinciding with European Car-Free Day, a Sustainable Mobility day will be held in which different figures from the world of mobility will participate and where the latest developments in sustainable mobility will be delved into.
Finally, on Saturday the 23rd, an exhibition of zero-emission vehicles will be held in the Salón park, an electric bicycle workshop and a bike ride.
