New Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio, exponents of performance and technical refinement

Having a centuries-old history and a strong sporting legacy is a source of pride for a brand like Alfa Romeo. And not all manufacturers can boast a sporting tradition in this category.

Located within the conglomerate of brands of the Stellantis group, Alfa Romeo occupies 10th position in the Spanish market in the Premium category, with an increase of 22% compared to 2022.

This course, the Quadrifoglio name, a symbol of performance and technological refinement, turns 100 years old. It dates back to the first editions of the famous Targa Florio race and legendary drivers such as Tazio Nuvolari.

In this way, the new Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio represent an iconic symbol that brings with it a centuries-old search for technical excellence applied to competition and production cars.

These versions with the Quadrifoglio surname, in both cases, are at the top of their respective segments in terms of performance, behavior and driving experience.

At a time when talking about performance and horsepower seems like a crime, Alfa Romeo allows itself to continue talking about performance, sensations behind the wheel and passion for driving in its new Quadrifoglio. A priori, it does not fit much into the official discourse of the European Union and the path outlined towards decarbonization. But it also seems logical that a brand like the Italian one continues to exploit its prestige and historical legacy as long as it can.

In this way, Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio receive an increase in power in their 2.9 V6 engine to reach 520 HP. And it is combined with the mechanical limited slip differential. It is a very helpful technical device to improve the behavior and traction of the vehicle.

With this new mechanical differential, both the Giulia and the Stelvio Quadrifoglio increase stability, agility and cornering speed.

In this type of sports car, the weight factor is vital to obtain the best possible response on the road. To do this, Alfa Romeo uses ultralight materials such as aluminum in the engine and carbon fiber in the drive shaft, hood, spoiler and side skirts.

And in the case of the Giulia, the aerodynamics remain active with the carbon front splitter, which when activated, controls the flow of air that passes under the car, increasing stability. And the standard Akrapovich exhaust system provides an unmistakable sound.

On the outside of the new Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio, the look has been renewed, with the “3 3” headlights, with new Full-LED Matrix adaptive headlights that offer an anti-glare and adaptable driving beam for optimal lighting in all conditions, guaranteeing less visual fatigue.

Also notable are the 19-inch 5-hole sports alloy wheels for the Giulia, and 21 inches for the Stelvio with red brake calipers. And the exterior decoration is available in Etna Red, Montreal Green, Misano Blue, Vesuvius Grey, Volcano Black and Alfa Red (non-metallic).

The same sporty characterization is found in the interior, where the exclusive combination of black leather and Alcantara (optional) and the innovative 3D real carbon finish for the dashboard, central tunnel and door panel prevail. The steering wheel is covered in leather and Alcantara with black stitching and carbon fiber inserts.

Also in the interior, care has been taken with the design, presentation and exclusivity. Thus, the new instrument panel is characterized by the historic “telescope” design, where the fully digital 12.3-inch TFT screen stands out.

From the screen you can access all the information about the car and the parameters related to autonomous driving technologies. In the Quadrifoglio, in addition to the three designs available in the entire Alfa Romeo range, Evolved Relax and Heritage, the exclusive “Race” configuration is new.

With the Race program, the instrumentation changes its design and displays on the central screen, in view of the driver, everything that needs to be under control: tachometer, speedometer and gear position.

Alfa Romeo celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Quadrifoglio with a limited edition of the Giulia and the Stelvio. This special edition is limited to 100 units of each model and sold out shortly after going on sale.

Therefore, the 100 models of the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio 100º Anniversario have quickly become collector's cars, with customers spread all over the world.

This limited edition proudly sports the celebratory version of the historic logo, reinterpreted with a modern touch by the Centro Stile Alfa Romeo.

The 2.9 V6 turbocharged engine with 520 HP with mechanical limited slip differential is the same as the Quadrifoglio versions.

To distinguish itself, it incorporates new brake calipers and grille and mirror caps in gold color in visible carbon fiber. Inside, new visible gold stitching and the celebratory badge on the dashboard embellish a sporty atmosphere dominated by carbon fibre, with a new 3D finish, while the steering wheel is upholstered in leather and Alcantara with black stitching and carbon fiber details.
