Lawyer says Tarantino has right to sell ‘Pulp Fiction’ NFTs

LOS ANGELES , Quentin Tarantino's lawyer said Wednesday that he is entitled to sell a series "Pulp Fiction" NFTs.

Bryan Freedman's statement comes just days after entertainment company Miramax filed suit against Bryan Freedman over his plans to auction off a series NFTs that were based on his scripts from "Pulp Fiction."

"Miramax is a fraud - plain and simply. Quentin Tarantino has a contract that he can sell NFTs from his Pulp Fiction script. This will allow him to make a profit, and any attempt to stop him from doing so by Freedman was futile.

Miramax claims that Tarantino's plans to offer copies of the film violate copyrights.

Tarantino announced recently plans to sell seven Non-Fungible Tokens. These tokens are digital works that have been uniquely created and linked to an owner using cryptocurrency technology.

These digital scans include handwritten script pages that are uncut and audio commentary.

Freedman also criticised Miramax's inclusion of details and pages in its contract with Tarantino.

Freedman stated that Miramax's insensitive decision to reveal confidential information about filmmakers' contracts, and compensation, will irreparably damage its reputation long after the case is over.
