La Vuelta a España, protagonist of an exhibition in Andorra

Since last August 1, Andorra has hosted the exhibition "La Vuelta" in which some of the objects that have marked the Spanish cycling round in its long history are shown. The temporary exhibition organized by Bici Lab Andorra explains in a didactic and entertaining way what the future of the Tour of Spain has been and how one of the most prestigious cycling races in the world is organized.

The most striking of the sample are the bicycles, some of them unique pieces, used by riders such as Roberto Heras, Laurent Jalabert, 'Purito' Rodríguez, Iván García Cortina and Jean Paul Van Poppel, among others; all of them cyclists who have scored at some point in the Spanish cycling event.

Other jewels on display at the Expo are the jerseys of world champion cyclists such as Remco Evenepoel and Mads Pedersen. You can also see a large number of historical photographs that show the evolution of La Vuelta from the 1930s to the present.

'La Vuelta' is an exhibition designed for all audiences organized in two areas. The first of them reviews the historical context in which the Tour of Spain was born in 1935, in the middle of the Second Republic; while the second area offers visitors a symbolic journey that puts them in the shoes of the almost 200 cyclists who participate in the Spanish race each year. An exhibition, in short, designed for all audiences and that will satisfy both the neophyte audience and the cycling expert.

'La Vuelta' will be open to the public until January 6 and is free of charge. The organizer, Bici Lab Andorra, has one of the most important collections of classic bicycles in the world (on loan from the Riberaygua family). This exhibition also serves to celebrate Andorra's close relationship with cycling and with the Vuelta a España in particular, whose 2023 edition will take place in two stages through Andorran lands on August 28 and 29.
