Carthago C-Tourer: comprehensive motorhomes that combine luxury and lightness to travel without limits

The new Carthago C-Tourer T/I 145 RB LE motorhome, profiled or integral, comes to the market with an attractive cover letter: optimal distribution, more than complete equipment and top-quality finishes are some of its main attributes. And for those who want even more comfort, the latest bet from the Aulendorf firm debuts an exclusive version, the integral motorhome Carthago c-tourer I 145 RB LE “Superior”.

The versatile C-Tourer T/I 145 RB LE is based on two vehicles already known to Carthago, such as the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and the Fiat Ducato, improved with an AL-KO chassis. Depending on the version chosen, its weight starts at 3.5 t and its length ranges between 6.98 and 7.18 metres. By size, the new member of the Carthago family is somewhat more manageable and measures between 30 and 50 centimeters less than other motorhomes in its segment.

There are two different engines available in each case: 103 kW (140 CV) and 132 kW (180 CV) for the variant that starts from the Ducato, and 110 kW (150 CV) and 125 kW (170 CV) for the one that starts from the Sprinter. . In addition, any of these four can be chosen either with a six-speed manual gearbox or with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The exterior design of the new Carthago C-Tourer T/I 145 RB LE is characterized by its simple and elegant lines. Compared to previous models, the redesign of the rear stands out, which, in addition to having gained up to 5 centimeters in the passenger compartment, is more dynamic, due to its more rounded sides and the striking “C”-shaped rear lights.

Its standard color is 'arctic white', although in the profiled variant that starts from the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, the cabin can be chosen in 'obsidian black' metallic as an option (with the side skirts and the rear bumper in white). As for the c-tourer T/I 145 RB LE “Superior” version, it adds elements such as Full LED headlights as standard or the lighting of the side body panels, which is not only striking but also very practical.

The impressive cabin of the Carthago C-Tourer T/I 145 RB LE motorhome has been thought out in detail and offers uncompromising comfort in the purest style of a luxurious liner. With a design language that the brand has dubbed “Casablanca”, there are plenty of wood finishes and neutral colors that give a feeling of warmth.

The entrance with a backlit panel in anthracite black gives access to the comfortable seating area, which maintains the brand's well-known "L"-shaped distribution for its seats, as well as the central rotating table, an additional individual seat and furniture as practical as a revolving shoe compartment in the entrance area. It also has a TV up to 32 "with swivel support.

In the practical kitchen we find a three-burner hob with a lid, a stainless steel sink, plenty of space to store utensils and food, a worktop and various shelves and spice racks. Opposite is the Slimtower refrigerator (133 liters in volume), whose door opens to both sides. Separated from this area by a changing room is the bathroom, which includes a separate shower from the WC, sink, illuminated mirror and compartments to keep belongings well organized.

The rest area, where three occupants can sleep comfortably, is perfectly isolated at the back of the motorhome and houses two large single beds up to two meters long each. These can be converted into a single large bed using an extension and, as an option, have two drop-down steps.

For greater privacy, you can opt for a wooden slider to separate the rest area from the bathroom. The versatile scooter compartment at the rear, together with the extra space offered by the double floor, is an outlet for long journeys.

The integral c-tourer I 145 RB LE “Superior” motorhome adds to the above distinctive elements such as wood paneling, two-tone ash furniture with recessed handles, mosquito nets and luxury upholstery, following the elegant “Nouvo” design language. Without a doubt, with the new C-Tourer T/I 145 RB LE, Carthago has once again raised the bar for premium motorhomes.
