The Arganda del Rey City Council has installed an urban bicycle maintenance station on the central avenue of Miguel de Cervantes with three different elements so that residents can get their vehicles ready and guarantee their maintenance, trying to promote greater use of the bikes.
This infrastructure, located in the Vía Verde rest area, consists of a bicycle maintenance station with tools and an inflation pump, as well as a bicycle washing station with two brushes and a hose for "the correct cleaning of the different parts of the bike”, according to the Consistory in a note.
In addition, an inflation station has also been placed, with a pedal-operated inflator pump and an element so that all kinds of valves can be adapted and a manometer to control the inflation pressure.
The station is insured against theft and vandalism and has drinking fountains for cyclists.
This project includes the upcoming creation of two other urban bicycle maintenance stations, which will be located on Vía Verde de La Poveda and in Ronda del Sur.
