Chairman of the board at Danish Hotels Erik Sophus Falck says to Ekstra Bladet, that all of the 23 hotels in the chain currently bleeding financially.
- We find ourselves in a terrible situation. I have simply never experienced anything like this. The hotel industry and the airline industry are the two industries that have been hardest hit by the crisis, says the chairman of the board.
Danish Hotels has a total of 1,700 rooms ready for guests. On a daily basis are typically of 1,000 recorded. At weekends all the rooms are typically fully occupied.
- Right now is only 100-150 guests busy. So we drive to sleep, it informs the chairman of the board.
virtually all permanent employees in the hotel chain is sent home. Only the officials are back on the 23 hotels.
- 85% of our guests are domestic. We hope, therefore, that we quickly get started in the business again, when the situation becomes more normal. It will probably take longer to grab the international clients, believes Erik Sophus Falck.
