“You have come very clean”: Juan del Val and his “excessive” live outfit that forces him to leave early

This Sunday there were two appointments that Juan del Val could not miss. On the one hand, the live broadcast of La Roca, the afternoon program of his wife Nuria Roca on La Sexta; and, on the other, the celebration of the 2023 Planeta Awards in Barcelona.

However, the writer was in such a hurry to have to catch a plane to Barcelona that he arrived at the television program dressed in a suit and tie, something that caught the attention of those present, mainly his wife. In fact, Del Val had to justify his “excessive” outfit, as they called it, and the fact that he had to leave early, which generated some jokes and numerous jokes.

This Sunday was World Handwashing Day and La Roca wanted to remember it with a series of viral videos. "What's happening? "They celebrate it to the fullest, because they are very clean," Nuria Roca joked as she introduced her tablemates. Juan del Val, in his first intervention, acknowledged that he was “a handwashing obsessive.”

However, the writer was too elegant for what viewers are accustomed to. So much so that his own wife, jokingly and snapping at him, snapped at him: “You came in very clean today, Juan. What happen? You're getting married?".

To which, Del Val, who was in a suit and tie, revealed: “No, I'm going to the Planeta Awards. When I finish, I don't have time to change, so I already do the program like this. And then I'm running." Then, Roca did not hesitate to continue with the joke: “But, for you to come to the program elegantly, does there have to be an awards ceremony every Sunday?”

Although the writer acknowledged that he was “a little excessive” in terms of his outfit, he also tried to justify himself: “I just don't have time, man. The plane leaves at 7:00 p.m., I am 40 minutes from the airport and I finish here at 6:00 p.m. "I'm going terribly." And, as it could not be otherwise, the program wanted to compare the writer's look from last week with the current one. The previous Sunday was very casual, so Nuria Roca returned with the jokes: “I'll tell you something. From time to time we are going to ask you how the Ibex 35 is doing.”

Far from getting upset with the comments, Del Val decided to defend himself by attacking him by asking his colleagues not to be “so cliché,” because he was only wearing “a suit and a tie.” And, to conclude the topic, he blurted out: “It's an elegant way to be in front of the public. My mother will be delighted. She would tell me: 'Cut your hair a little, son.' But otherwise, great.”
