Yolanda Díaz proposes a check of 300 euros for those most affected by inflation

The Second Vice President and Minister of Labour, Yolanda Díaz, has communicated this afternoon, in a Twitter thread, the measures that she has proposed in the Government to deal with inflation and the economic crisis generated by the war in Ukraine, and which consists in a check for 300 euros intended to help people who are being "hardest hit by the crisis".

Yolanda Díaz argues that in order to reinforce the protection of citizenship, "we are betting on a check of 300 euros for the people hardest hit by the crisis, as has been launched in France." She adds that in the face of "the rise in prices due to inflation, it is time to protect families and their purchasing power."

Regarding the ecological transition, Díaz has proposed reducing the prices of transport passes by 50% in order to encourage the use of public transport in the face of rising fuel prices. "In addition, we propose to establish a mechanism that allows the discount to be adjusted to the price of gasoline and non-professional diesel according to the income level of the beneficiaries", continued the vice president. The last measure in this regard was generalized for the entire population, subsidizing fuel with 20 cents per liter.
