Wind clouds converge in Matadepera

Brutal sunset from Matadepera, in the Vallès Occidental, which we can relive in this series of photographs in La Vanguardia Readers' Photos.

As can be seen in the images, the wind clouds converge in Matadepera at the time of sunset, which brings them together in the sky as if they had been attracted by the intense color of the candilazo.

The most recognizable wind clouds are lenticular ones, so called because they are shaped like a lentil, as their name indicates, or there are also those who see them as saucer-shaped or converging lens.

The candilazo is a meteorological phenomenon in which the clouds in the sky show a wide palette of colors that ranges from pink to the most intense orange.

As part of the phenomenon of dispersion of sunlight, in the morning and afternoon hours, when the sun is closer to the horizon, the light that reaches the Earth is soft tones between red and orange.

Located in the Vallès Occidental, it is located at the foot of the massif of the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac Natural Park, whose highest point is La Mola, at 1,104 meters high.
