The San Martín summer of 2023 is the "warmest since 1950", with records of "unusually high" temperatures for this time of year. But when will it end?... The spokesperson for the AEMET, Rubén del Campo, has confirmed that the past 11, 12, 13 and 14 November have been the warmest for these dates in the whole of peninsular Spain at least since 1950 and he predicts that until the end During the week, some more records will be broken, especially on Saturday and Sunday when a new rise in thermometers is expected.
Even this past Tuesday, temperatures exceeded 32ºC in Malaga and the Canary Islands, even though the AEMET has left out the record of 35.6ºC in Torremolinos on the 14th, as it is "suspicious data" as it differs from those recorded in nearby stations.
