With this image in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia I pose this riddle, I would say that it is impossible to solve if the only clue we have is this photograph. But, the question is the following: What town is hidden under the clouds?
Well, I'm going to answer the question. I was flying over the Conca de Barberà region and the flight application I have told me the exact point where we were.
Yes, that's how I was able to see the town that we had just below us, under these clouds that we see in this snapshot that I was able to capture at that moment.
We were flying over Blancafort. Beautiful town and spectacular sunset flying over it among the clouds, as seen in the image.
Located at an altitude of 428 metres, Blancafort is located on the southern slopes of the Sierra del Tallat. Its term is quite rugged, and is drained by numerous torrents that run in a north-south direction. Its main crop is the vineyard.
Documented since 1207, Blancafort was created in the second half of the 12th century in the shelter of its castle, which formed part of the Duchy of Montblanc (14th-18th centuries), and of which only the place name of the hill where it was located remains.
