What is debated this Thursday in Congress?

In the plenary session this Thursday in Congress, not only measures for energy saving will be debated. The royal decree on the new contribution system for the self-employed will also be voted on – this point will indeed have the vote in favor of the PP.

A decree on the coordination in the field of forest fires will also be debated – here the vote of the rest of the groups is unknown – and the laws of “yes only is yes”, of science and the reform of the bankruptcy law – the three returned of the Senate in its last session.

However, the core of the session will be the royal decree of economic sustainability measures where all the initiatives adopted by the Government since August 1 to reduce energy consumption are framed.

It is a very extensive decree, 83 pages long, which, beyond limiting the temperature in public spaces, includes, among other proposals, a transport aid package (from taxis to trucks) of 450 million to counteract the increase in fuel.

The decree also includes free intercity rail transport and a discount of half the price of long-distance journeys. Measures related to the control of passengers at airports, measures to support air traffic and goods in the maritime field are also included.

The decree also adds initiatives to make self-consumption of green energy easier and establishes an aid program for students with scholarships to alleviate inflation. Finally, the electricity sector is compensated for the temporary suspension of the tax on the value of electricity production for 1,300 million.
