Vueling plans to operate 497 flights this Sunday, 89% of those scheduled, after preventively canceling 64 operations not protected by the minimum services decreed, in what is another day of cabin crew strike called by the Stavla union, the majority.

In a statement, the IAG group airline states that 83% of flights (135 out of 163) will operate normally in Barcelona, in the rest of Spain this percentage will reach 91% (194 out of 215) and 92% internationally. (168 of 183).

The company adds that 94% of the customers affected by the cancellations have been relocated to other flights or have accepted an alternative proposed by the airline.

Stavla has called a strike every Friday, Sunday and Monday between November and January 31, 2023, in addition to November 1 and the next December 6, 8, 24 and 31; and January 5.

Vueling and the unions have been negotiating the fourth collective agreement for cabin crew since April. In this framework, Stavla, the majority among the 2,250 passenger cabin crew (TCP) of the company, demands a salary update of 13.4% for the year 2022.

The company assures that it is unaffordable to grant this salary increase and adds that it would be added to the 6.5% increase agreed with CCOO in August -without Stavla's agreement-.
