Vraba, the ephemeral restaurant that will make you feel like the protagonist of the America's Cup

In 1851, on the occasion of the Great Exhibition in London, a regatta called the Queen's Cup took place, it was won by a ship called America and, since then, and 172 years have passed, every three years, this competition takes place. It was renamed the Copa del América as a tribute to the winner. The next edition will be held in Barcelona in 2024 and, since it was announced, the city has prepared thoroughly to live up to the largest competition in the world of sailing.

And although it is a very prestigious sporting event, it is not well known among citizens. To rectify this situation, the America's Cup Experience was conceived, a space created in the old Imax of Port Vell with the aim of publicizing the oldest competition in sport, making it accessible to everyone and awakening everyone's interest.

Located on the upper floor of the building, chef Albert Ventura, head of Cuore Barcelona and Andorra, and Jordi Vilà, chef of the Alkimia restaurant, have opened Vraba, a restaurant created exclusively to enjoy this competition for only two years, which will last preparations and competition. Its proposal is based on Catalan tradition, with modern touches and a nod to Japanese cuisine, where the product prevails above all else. A proposal designed so that anyone who visits the city and goes to the team facilities can also enjoy eating.

Among their creations we can find dishes such as lime with fish ceviche or Provence cannelloni with ratatouille, fish and seafood, béarnaise sauce and olive sauce. His succulent menu is joined by a long list of wines, many of them as a nod to the participating teams, as well as a great diversity of signature cocktails that pay tribute to the participating countries. You also have a 50 euro menu with two dishes to choose from among eight proposals, with drinks and desserts.

And at dusk, taking advantage of the magnificent terrace it becomes the best viewpoint of the port, with unique views of Barceloneta and the city skyline, a DJ will liven up the evening from Thursday to Saturday.
