Villarreal had no enemy in Elche

Villarreal had no problem winning at the Ciutat de Valencia (La Cerámica is under construction) against Elche, a 4-0 that shows that Unay Emery's team is going strong in the League. El Submarino has scored nine goals in these four rounds and has not conceded any.

Villarreal sentenced quite soon, in just over half an hour they already had the three points in their pocket. In minute 26 Gerard Moreno scored, who caught a rebound from Edgar Badía at a shot by the Catalan striker himself, and in minute 36 the Argentine Lo Celso scored the 2-0 after a pass from Coslada to Jakson, who assisted the Argentine.

The first half ended with 62% possession for Villarreal, who finished eight times on goal for none of Francisco's men. The second half brought a very similar game although Francisco soon refreshed his team with many changes.

The 2-0 on the scoreboard took Villarreal's fang away and the game slowed down somewhat. El Submarino calmed down their game a bit and made it more beautiful than effective, while Elche could not.

In the final moments, while Elche was only waiting to finish without suffering more damage, Villarreal extended their lead twice. In minute 88 Coquelin scored the 3-0 after a pass from Chukwueze that left him alone in front of the goalkeeper and already in added time, practically on the last play, Morales completed the rout (4-0) by completing a counterattack.
