Vilagrà: "We will prioritize pacts with independentists and the commons before with the PSC"

ERC is convinced of governing alone after the departure of Junts from the Collation Government. Last night Pere Aragonès stated it in his appearance at the Palau de la Generalitat and this morning the Minister of the Presidency, Laura Vilagrà, repeated it. She says that "at the moment" they are not considering opening the Government to other formations and that in the face of future agreements "they will prioritize pacts with pro-independence forces and the common ones before with the PSC".

In an interview at Via Lliure of RAC1, Vilagrà has advanced that probably at the beginning of this next week the new configuration of the Government will be announced. "The goal is to be able to hold the first meeting of the Consell Executiu on Tuesday." At the moment the intention is to design “an open Government, collaborative with all the parties and that takes everyone into account. We will have to fight hard to find agreements.”

Vilagrà has taken advantage of the RAC1 microphones to launch a dart at those who until yesterday were his coalition partners: “Junts has never accepted being behind ERC and that has made the entire legislature difficult. Proof of this is that from Junts they do not name President Aragonès as president, but only as Aragonès”. In short, "they have prioritized their party interests" over the interests of Catalonia.

On the possibility of the Government incorporating profiles linked to ERC such as Natàlia Mas or Albert Castellanos for the Ministry of Economy and Finance or Marc Ramentol for Health, he has recognized that "these are top-level numbers that the Left has."

Vilagrà has ruled out the possibility of Aragonès calling early elections, because there were already "a year and a half ago" and now "they would not be a solution", because "they would generate instability" and would not yield results that are too different from those of 2021.

This same Saturday, the President of the Generalitat and his trusted team will work to reconfigure the new Government and fill the vacancies left by the resignation of the six ministers of JxCat and the dismissal of Vice President Puigneró.
