Vilagrà trusts in reaching agreements

The Minister of the Presidency of the Government, Laura Vilagrà, hopes to be able to reach "relevant" agreements with the Spanish government on the political conflict and amnesty in the coming months.

He said this this Saturday in an interview with 'El Suplemento' where he also explained that the criteria set regarding the attendees of the next dialogue table with the Spanish executive are maintained.

"We have not modified the conditions, the agreement was that it be done with the people of the governments," he insisted. Even so, he has admitted that it is “public and notorious” that Junts “does not agree”.

Vilagrà has remarked that from July and until the autumn, intense work will be done, based on "concrete steps" that help people who are in exile, those who are awaiting trial or those who are in a situation complex. "We have to find ways to end this dejudicialization", he stressed.

As for the other big issue that wants to be discussed on the table: self-determination, the minister has stated that it will be addressed "later", since on this issue "the positions are still very far apart". “We have to be more proactive, try to find political solutions, which is what we will do in the coming weeks”, she added, “we want the table to have results that show a clear desire to build trust”.

Regarding the control of the operation and the results of the table, Vilagrà has pointed out that setting a date “is not very good advice”. “We need to have enough time to work”, even so he has said that there will be an evaluation. As for the date of the next meeting, he has said that he is choosing between different possibilities but on the condition that there is "deep" work. “We will not make a table to take the photo, we must have results”, he concluded.
