Victoria's Secret has chosen the Catalan capital to shoot the new advertisement with which they want to give a new projection to the lingerie firm based on diversity and inclusion and leave behind a controversial past of misogyny, machismo and tyranny of thinness.
The entire Victoria's Secret production team has been in Barcelona for two weeks, moving a caravan of 20 vans with all the material, plus private cars for each model that went from the airport to the hotels and the different filming sets. The first week was dedicated to editing and the second to shooting, which ended yesterday with a private party for the entire team and some of the models who were still in town.
The ad recreates a massive party and was filmed at the Xavier Corberó Center for Artistic Activities and Research (the adjoining convent was used as a make-up, hairdressing and wardrobe room) and at the Corberó Building, located in Esplugues de Llobregat and in the center Cultural La Modelo, Barcelona. It was precisely in the old prison where Naomi Campbell filmed her scenes. The model was the first to arrive. She did it on a private flight from Cannes, with her daughter. Campbell was barely ten hours in the Catalan capital and while she was working on her daughter, accompanied by the nanny and a bodyguard, they were walking around the Maremagnum.
Victoria's Secret has once again had Adriana Lima, one of the most emblematic angels despite the fact that she officially hung up her wings in 2018 and assured that she had finished fed up with the pressures on her perfect physique that the brand imposed on her. The Brazilian has been three days and has stayed at the Sofía hotel, like most models. The Victoria's Secret production has kept all the filming secret and the curious who approached or asked to see the number of vans, cameras or personnel, the security team threw them out with threats and in bad manners.
