Eva Parera, president of Valents and candidate of this formation for mayor of Barcelona, today addressed Alberto Núñez Feijóo, Inés Arrimadas and Santiago Abascal to ask them that their respective formations, PP, Ciudadanos and Vox, join a list " constitutionalist" to try to defeat the "populist government" of common and socialists and the pro-independence formations in the municipal elections on May 28 next year.
Parera has highlighted that "we are 8 months away from very important elections for the city and Barcelona will have a lot at stake". The alternative to a populist government of the extreme left cannot be a pro-independence government, be it Xavier Trias or Ernest Maragall; after all, they are exactly the same”, pointed out the leader of Valents.
Councilor Parera has challenged the leaders of PP, Ciudadanos and VOX to stop looking for candidates for next year's Barcelona elections. “We ask the constitutionalist parties to join Valents. We are offering places on our lists to all those people who believe they can contribute something to the city of Barcelona”, said the president of Valents.
"Stop thinking that there are only general elections; stop prioritizing your internal territorial organizations; stop prioritizing your refoundation to try to save something that is already insurmountable today. We have the doors of Valents open", he assured.
Parera has highlighted that in Valents “we have a project, we have a team, we have a government program and, above all, we are the only constitutionalist force that has had a designated candidate for months. It can't be the marketing we're seeing in the name media. This is not a contest. It is a lack of respect for the people of Barcelona. This is not about names, this is about the project”.
