Ukraine claims to have successfully landed in occupied Crimea

Ukrainian military intelligence (GUR) assured today that it had successfully carried out last morning a “special operation” to land on the Crimean peninsula, a territory occupied by Russia since 2014, invulnerable until last year to attacks from Ukraine.

“As part of a special operation, our personnel landed on the territory of the peninsula,” GUR representative Andri Yusov told Ukrainian public broadcasting.

Yusov explained that the operation, launched in cooperation with the Navy, was completed without casualties by the Ukrainian side, which did inflict losses on the enemy ranks. "The enemy suffered casualties among his men and the equipment was destroyed. And the national flag flew again in the Ukrainian Crimea," Ukrainian military intelligence said via Telegram, adding that special forces units had landed near the villages of Olenivka. and Mayak, in western Ukraine.
