Two false nudes of minors created with artificial intelligence are reported in Madrid

The National Police has received two complaints in the town of Alcalá de Henares for the dissemination of photographs of minors who were allegedly "naked" using an artificial intelligence program.

The agents have identified the alleged perpetrator of the events, also a minor, but he has not been arrested, sources from the Madrid Police Headquarters have informed EFE.

The case is now in the hands of the justice system, which will have to determine whether to open proceedings in this regard, following complaints filed by the parents of the young women.

These complaints made in Alcalá de Henares are added to those registered by similar cases in Almendralejo (Badajoz) and Ayamonte (Huelva), in which young minors are also involved.

In Almendralejo, 22 cases have been reported, although it is not ruled out that there may be more, and several of the alleged perpetrators have been identified.

In Ayamonte, a minor is being investigated as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against privacy.

The emergence of numerous cases of underage girls whose photos are being retouched using artificial intelligence programs to appear "naked" has caused concern in recent days.

Last Wednesday, the State Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz, considered these events "worrying and repetitive", but estimated that there are criminal tools to attack them.

For her part, the acting Minister of Justice, Pilar Llop, stated that "there should be no impunity" and urged that "the criminal protection of victims" prevail above all.
