Tour de France 2022 | Schedule, profile, route and where to watch the first stage on TV, Copenhagen

The most important cycling race in the world begins. An individual time trial through the streets of Copenhagen (13 km) will open the 2022 Tour de France, which will have a total of 21 stages. The first is this Friday, July 1, and the last will take place on July 24 on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, as tradition dictates.

The Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE), winner of the 2020 and 2021 Tour de France, repeats as the great favorite of this edition. He is followed by his compatriot Primoz Roglic, the Jumbo cyclist and the Dane Jonas Vingegaard. There will also be nine Spanish cyclists, five of whom are from the Movistar Team. The last Spanish victory in the race was in 2018.

The first stage of the Tour de France will take place this Friday, July 1, starting at 3:30 p.m. The cyclists will travel 13 kilometers through the streets of Copenhagen. The 21 stages can be seen live on Teledeporte and RTVE Play, with narration by Carlos de Andrés and comments by former cyclist Perico Delgado. The competition can also be followed by DAZN and Eurosport and La Vanguardia will offer the minute by minute of each stage of the Tour.
