It will be Kroos' tenth season at Real Madrid, a club he joined in 2014 and with which he has won 20 titles: 4 Champions Leagues, 5 Club World Cups, 4 European Super Cups, 3 Leagues, 1 Copa del Rey and 3 Super Cups from Spain. In his 417 games as a Real Madrid player, he has become the German footballer who has worn the white shirt the most times.
The renewal of Kroos comes one day after Real Madrid officially presented Joselu, who returns to the club that trained him on loan from Espanyol. The 33-year-old striker is the fourth addition to the Madrid team so far this summer after Fran Garía, Brahim Díaz and Jude Bellingham.
But Ancelotti is looking for a more renowned striker to lead the team, something that was confirmed yesterday when it was revealed that Joselu will wear the number '14' on his back, leaving Benzema's '9' still free. The main desired is Harry Kane, but Tottenham has imposed a high price of 130 million that complicates the operation.
