Increasingly, the ERC Government is moving away from Junts and the CUP. And vice versa. The control session in the Parlament to the president of the Generalitat has had its most tense moments when Pere Aragonès has responded to post-convergent and anti-capitalist. The Catalan Executive maintains its commitment to dialogue despite the case of espionage with Pegasus by the National Intelligence Center (CNI) on people from the pro-independence environment, which returned to the fore after a preliminary report from the European Parliament that points to the Spanish Government as responsible. With this issue on the table, the CUP has criticized the dialogue table being maintained and Junts has stated that it is only a space signed by two parties that aims to "guarantee the stability of the Spanish Government and we will see if also in Catalonia ”, in veiled reference to hypothetical and future agreements with the PSC. The first of them, the budgets of the Generalitat.
Likewise, the leader of JxCat in the Parliament, Albert Batet, has referred to the interview with Oriol Junqueras that La Vanguardia published this Sunday to claim a list of "supposed results" of the dialogue table that the leader of Esquerra affirmed that have given. "If there is a list of results that are so good for the citizens of Catalonia, explain them," Batet demanded of Aragonès. In any case, the post-convergent party has taken for granted that no agreements have been reached and has accused the ERC of trying to "centrifuge its failure from the dialogue table with whom you yourself have vetoed participating in it."
Aragonès' response has not been lukewarm. First with an irony towards Junts that he had not used until today: “I am very pleased that you read the interviews with Oriol Junqueras, it is good practice”. Subsequently, the president of the Generalitat has fervently defended the dialogue table and has established as agreements the recognition by the Government of Pedro Sánchez that there is a political conflict, the methodology of that space made public in July around the Catalan language " that has allowed the regulatory framework not to be challenged by the Spanish Government”, and the commitment in the field of dejudicialization – which, among others, could incorporate the reform or repeal of the crime of sedition – which would materialize before the end of this year.
Batet has reproached the president for not specifying. He has attributed it to the fact that, in his opinion, the dialogue table in reality "does not produce results". In addition, this recognition of the political conflict was already in writing in December 2018 at the meeting at the Pedralbes Palace between Quim Torra and Pedro Sánchez. And he has criticized that the objectives of amnesty and self-determination are not addressed, as he has expressed.
