Tina Turner died without knowing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren

On May 24, Tina Turner passed away. The goddess of rock, with her wild hair, acclaimed and loved by all her colleagues and her fans, conquering audiences of all kinds thanks to her shows and bearer of a unique style, with her wild hair and her unforgettable movements.

Tina Turner, a true legend for many, who a week later are still mourning her death. Including her most direct family, who found out through the media about the death of her mother and grandmother; and it is that the two still living children of the artist were not even aware that the singer had suffered a stroke, kidney ailments (a kidney transplant) and various diseases (intestinal cancer in 2016) in recent times.

The unforgettable performer from River Deep, Mountain High had four children, two of whom passed away in tragic circumstances. Her eldest son, Raymond Craig, the fruit of her marriage to saxophonist Raymond Hill, died at age 59 after taking his own life. Her second son, Ronnie Turner, the fruit of her marriage to Ike Turner, suffered from colon cancer, a disease that would end her life at age 61.

However, little is known about the other two children of the artist. Although not biological, Tina Turner adopted the two children that Ike Turner had with Lorraine Taylor, Ike Turner Jr. and Michael Turner, who have known no other mother than the singer in their lives, being she who protected them from the violence of her father, for which they have always been very grateful.

In 1985, things changed. Tina Turner met Erwin Bach, who would become her future husband, and moved to Switzerland to live with him in 1995, losing contact with her children, whom she also stopped supporting financially "just because": "I will always be there for them, but I won't let them use me," he said in an interview with TV Week Australia.

Of those children, Ike Turner Jr. has been the most vocal about asking for reconciliation with his mother, with whom he went to live since he was two years old and who gave him his love for music - he is a music producer, with two Grammys to his credit. However, the divorce between her father and the artist made him leave again with her father, who did not accept that he stay with the singer, thus losing all contact with her.

"My mother lives her life. She has a new husband and is in Europe, she wants nothing to do with the past," Turner said in an interview, confessing that he had not spoken to her since 2000.

Michael Turner experienced a similar situation, only in his case it turned for the worst, as he fell prey to drugs and, later, serious health problems. His brother Ike asked for help, and although they did not receive a visit from her mother, the singer did support them financially to cope with these problems.

Michael Turner also has a daughter, Tiffany Turner-Duke, a music producer, who in turn has three children: Marli, Amari and Gianni. None of them knew the artist.

Despite the fact that Ronnie Turner was her "baby" and her favorite child, the artist hardly knew her children. Ronnie Turner was the father of Randy and Raquel Turner with her wife, Afida, but the singer had very little contact with them, despite the fact that they still have not been able to overcome the death of her father and were desperately seeking the support of the her grandmother. What's more, she didn't have the opportunity to meet Raquel's children, Tyson and Tyrese, her great-grandchildren, who seem to have inherited the Turner family's talent in music.
