Three people were injured this morning when a slab collapsed during construction work at the Espai Gironès shopping center in Salt. Two of those affected have been trapped between the iron and have been taken to a health center. His life is not in danger, according to the Mossos d'Esquadra.
The events occurred around 11 in the morning on Camí dels Carlins, in work that is being carried out outside the shopping center. For reasons that are being investigated, the slab gave way and trapped two of the workers. A third person was also injured.
The event mobilized a dozen crews from the Bombers, the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Salt Local Police, bodies that share a police station very close to the scene of the events, and members of the Servei d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM). At least one medical helicopter was activated.
The three injured were taken to the Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona. The Espai Gironès shopping center is gathering information about the incident.
