Scottish police have found three hikers dead after failing to return from a trip to Glen Coe, UK, also known as the 'Valley of Tears'. The bodies correspond to two men and a woman who have not yet been identified.

The disappearance alarm was given shortly after 9:05 p.m. on Saturday. Due to the difficult terrain and terrain, the Inverness Coast Guard helicopter had to intervene in the search. An operation that, moreover, has been characterized by reduced visibility due to fog.

Police have said that Glencoe and RAF Mountain Rescue teams also helped with the search and recovery operation. "There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the prosecutor," says the police spokeswoman.

Hikers were trying to hike the Aonach Eagach range, famous for being the narrowest range on the British mainland. It is a very rocky place and its routes require climbing skills at various times. The slopes on each side are extremely dangerous: steep, with grass and scree hiding even steeper slopes that end in cliffs on the north and south sides.

Last September, a dead body was found in a ravine near the mountain range. It was a 57-year-old man who had been missing since September 2021. Previously, various bodies were also found in the area: a 63-year-old woman in September 2014 and a 44-year-old man in July 2016.
