Mossos d'Esquadra of the Investigation Unit of the Martorell police station (Baix Llobregat) arrested three men aged 52, 35 and 28 years old on Tuesday, October 24, as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of bribery, possession of weapons, reception and home robbery. They came from robbing homes in Vigo and La Coruña (Galicia)
The events occurred on Tuesday, October 24, when the police observed a vehicle, occupied by three men, traveling at high speed on the AP-7, in the municipality of Martorell.
The agents diverted the vehicle from the highway and identified the three occupants on the link branch with the A-2. From the first moment, one of the three men offered one of the agents a cash payment of an amount greater than the penalty for speeding to leave the scene, without further police action.
The investigators investigated that the three men had a history of robberies with force inside homes in different parts of Spain and deduced that they were a highly mobile group, without ties to a specific territory, one of those who move quickly from one place to another. from point to point on the peninsula to commit crimes.
With this information, they made an exhaustive search of the vehicle and initially a significant amount of cash was located among their belongings and, in addition, objects that could have come from robberies with force inside the home, such as high-end watches, pens and bags of prestigious brands and gold jewelry.
With these indications, the investigators intensified the search of the vehicle and found, hidden in an engine space, specifically in the air filter compartment, a bag containing a short firearm and a wad of 100 and 50 euro bills, which They added up to a total of 46,000 in cash.
Additionally, inside the vehicle, inside the fuse box, the agents located a toiletry bag with jewelry and valuable objects, as well as tools commonly used to force the locks on home doors. It so happens that at the time of the discovery of the incriminating tools, one of the occupants of the vehicle offered the agents the money and jewelry seized in exchange for letting them leave, without arresting them. Investigators arrested the three men for the crimes of reception, possession of weapons, bribery and burglary at home.
Subsequently, the police were able to determine that the thieves had been in the autonomous community of Galicia in recent days, they activated the coordination mechanisms with the competent Galician police forces with the aim of detecting possible robberies inside homes and, hours now, Investigators have already been able to link his alleged authorship to two homes in Vigo and A Coruña.
The detainees, all of them foreigners in an irregular situation in the State and with an expulsion file by the National Police, were brought to justice yesterday, Friday, October 27.
