This is how the access works to the Metropolitan stadium affect you

Starting this week, and for the next four months, the rotating movements in the Arcentales roundabout in Madrid will be interrupted starting at midnight on Tuesday due to the works that are being undertaken at the entrances to the Cívitas Metropolitano Stadium, to the height of exit 10 of the M-40 highway.

During this time, there will be traffic problems in the area around the M-40 for vehicles that use this road for movements on both the M-201 and Arcentales Avenue. So that the incorporation from the aforementioned Arcentales avenue to the M-40 towards the A-3 can only be carried out, the incorporation from the M-201 to the M-40 towards the A-2 and the incorporation from the M-40 direction A-2 at exit 10 to take the M-201.

The rest of the roundabout movements cannot be carried out due to the works that are going to be carried out and that mainly affect the following routes: from the M-201 to the M-40 direction A-3, from Avenida de Arcentales to the M-40 direction A-2 and from the M-40 direction decreasing to Arcentales Avenue.

Given the possible delays that may occur due to the interruption of traffic through the roundabout, the DGT has established alternative routes to, as far as possible, speed up vehicle movements.

For drivers who come from Coslada and want to take the M-40 in the increasing direction (direction A-3) they can travel on the M-201 to the M-40 in the decreasing direction (direction A-2) until exit 7 of this road, where You will be able to change direction and take the M-40 again.

Drivers with origin and destination Coslada will be able to circulate on the M-21 to take the M-40, A-2 or M-22; along the M-22 to take the A-2 or the M-14; or along the Vicálvaro highway, at kilometer 12 of the M-40.

For their part, drivers coming from Arcentales Avenue to the M-40 in a downward direction, direction A-2, may head along the Canillejas-Vicálvaro highway, until they take the M-40 at kilometer 12 of said highway. ring road.

Finally, drivers coming from the M-40 in the downward direction (direction A-2) and heading to Avenida de Arcentales will be able to travel on the M-40 in the downward direction (direction A-2) until exit 14.

The DGT recommends avoiding the area as much as possible due to traffic complications in the area, especially during peak hours on weekdays. In any case, it will inform about the planned cuts, retentions and alternative routes through the variable message panels located in the affected sections and in its area of influence, in the connections that the different radio and television stations make with the traffic information service, on social networks and on the 011 telephone number.
