Local Police agents and members of the Department of Animal Welfare of the Sueca City Council have saved a dog from the alleged mistreatment to which its owner was subjecting it, according to sources from the consistory in a statement.
It was a Swedish protector who notified the Department of the alleged mistreatment. In the ad, she showed the responsible councilor, Carmen Pérez, a video showing the mistreatment that a dog was suffering at the hands of her alleged owner.
After the evidence, Councilor Pérez and the protector informed the Councilor for Citizen Security, Carlos Ramírez, to request the collaboration of the Local Police.
Given the images in which the strong blows and punches that a man was exerting on a small dog that did not stop crying, and given the danger it posed to the life of the animal, the Local Police intervened to identify the author. and clarify what happened. He finally confiscated the dog.
The same protector who warned of the mistreatment took charge of the animal, with the collaboration of the Department of Animal Welfare, while the disciplinary file is being processed, which is expected to end with an economic sanction for the author and the definitive confiscation of the dog and subsequent release. adoption, so that a family can be found that treats him with the care he deserves.
