They find the remains of a child from the Copper Age in Segovia

The archaeological remains of a child that may date from the Copper Age have been found in the Segovian municipality of Bernardos, in a tomb located on the side of the Santa Inés dolmen, as reported by the Eresma Arqueológico project team.

"The identification of the age has yet to be confirmed with the carbon 14 test," Raúl Martín, from the archaeological team, explained to EFE, although he frames the finding between 3200 and 2200 BC.

Despite not being certain of the period to which the remains belong, members of the project have been able to place them in the Copper Age, due to the objects they have collected along with the teeth and skulls found in the area.

As a funerary trousseau, an arrow carved in flint dating from the Copper Age has been found.

In addition, "the way of burial that we have in the area of the dolmen is part of the biography of the site," he specified.

Search work has been common in a dolmen of this type. During the documentation of the armor, they found a hole that interrupted the homogeneity of the tasks.

The objects have been transferred to the scientific laboratory to preserve them from high temperatures and to be able to carry out carbon 14 tests, in addition to attempting, if possible, a DNA study.
