Several Iranian media have reported on Wednesday the violent death of an Iranian man, Mehran Sammak, for allegedly having honked the horn celebrating the victory of the US team over the Iranian team in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. local journalists, Iranian soldiers reportedly shot the man in the head in Anzali, in the north of the country.

The 27-year-old man was one of the many from his country who celebrated the defeat of his team in the form of a protest against the government due to the social situation that is being experienced, many took to the streets last Tuesday night. The fan was sitting in the car next to his partner when a soldier approached him and shot him in the head, the man was taken to the hospital but died an hour later.

In this same context, images and videos have been disseminated through social networks of the celebrations by parts of the Iranians. This is the case of local journalist Farzad Seifikaran, whose broadcast images show how the citizens of Saqqez celebrated the elimination of Iran in the World Cup.

The Iranian team was eliminated after losing the last match of the group stage against the United States. A duel that left beautiful images among the players and fans who traveled to Qatar to see the duel live.
