The City Council of San Miguel de Abona has reported this Thursday that it does not authorize the celebration of the Reggaeton Beach Festival 2022, which was to take place this Saturday at Amarilla Golf. The consistory has made this decision after verifying that "the security measures and the documentation presented by the organization do not meet the necessary requirements", according to a statement, in which it highlights that the event cannot be held since "it does not have authorization".

The festival's poster featured prominent artists of this musical genre such as Anuel AA, Ñengo Flow, Myke Towers, Bryant Myers, Juan Magan, Tokischa and Colombians Feid, Blessd and Manuel Turizo. The organization, which had sold 20,000 tickets, had proposed an assembly consisting of a stage with 300m2 of LED screens, a VIP area, the largest inflatable park in Europe, giant slides, swimming pools, a chillout area, food trucks and merchandising.

For its part, the organization of the event has issued a statement in which it ensures that it is working to “guarantee its success”, as well as that it will keep those affected informed. Tickets had been sold at a price of between 65 and 140 euros.
