A 39-year-old woman, who had allegedly stolen a gold chain valued at 6,000 euros from a British tourist in Benidorm, Alicante, has been identified and arrested thanks to taking photographs with it and posting them online.
The National Police reported this Thursday that the arrested woman, of Bulgarian nationality and with a record of crimes of theft of similar property, and whose chain has not been found, chose a British visitor who was waiting at dawn for a taxi to go to the hotel to, through the “loving hug” method, take over the aforementioned chain, in turn stealing 700 euros in cash that he carried in a shoulder bag hanging from his shoulder.
According to the victim's complaint, the woman, with a strong Eastern European accent, approached him asking him to leave with her, began to hug him and touch him all over his body in an apparently friendly manner. After rejecting the proposal, the victim took his taxi and went to the hotel, and once there he realized that this woman had just robbed him.
Before going to the Police, the next day the tourist returned to the same place in case he found the thief and, although he was unsuccessful, another woman told him that she knew her and that she had seen her on a social network wearing the chain that she It turned out to be the stolen one.
