The Scottish musician and producer Jamie Roy, a regular at the Ibiza night and also to a lesser degree in Miami, died yesterday, Wednesday 21 at the age of 33, as his family has communicated through social networks.

"Jamie passed away yesterday (Wednesday 21st September). Jamie was a much loved son, brother, nephew and uncle to his many friends and peers both within the music industry and beyond. We are all heartbroken," His family has written on Jamie's Facebook profile to spread the news of his death.

Although he was born in Dumfries (Scotland) and began his career as a DJ in Glasgow clubs, Roy had become one of the best-known faces of the Balearic Islands nightlife, where he had his residence to play his house music in nightclubs in the likes of Pacha, Ibiza Rocks, DC10 and Amnesia.

As a producer, Jamie last released a single last January with Oden.
