The wound in the US does not close and the deputy Blanes leaves her presence on the lists in the air

Esquerra Unida resists, for the moment, despite the resignation of five props of its executive. It seemed that the decision of these five leaders -among them those who were chosen to lead the formation lists for Castellón and Alicante- were going to shake the party, but the organization has decided to turn the page after the Political Council last weekend weekdays and focus definitively on the agreement with Podem and on the regional and municipal elections.

That does not mean that the wound has closed, far from it. Yesterday, in a conversation with La Vanguardia, the deputy Estefanía Blanes (one of those who resigned), broke her silence and acknowledged that after the Political Council was held, she is not sure if she will continue as a candidate in the next elections. "She's on the air; I still haven't decided if yes or no," says the one who was called to be the voice of the EU in Alicante.

In an interview published in this newspaper on Saturday, the EU coordinator, Rosa Pérez Garijo, asked that those who had resigned be the ones to explain the reasons for their departure from the leadership. After weeks of silence, Blanes argued for his departure and that of four other colleagues because of the "presidential tone" of the current coordinator, the "lack of spaces for dialogue" and the lack of a "political strategy."

The only parliamentarian in the US, apart from the coordinator itself, believes that her training could have had a greater influence on the government outside of its powers and regretted that issues such as the reform of the law for former presidents that they wanted to introduce through the Law were paralyzed Accompaniment. She also considers that on controversial issues such as renewables or reversions, not all the work done by the parliamentary group has been taken advantage of.

Blanes explains that for a time a rapprochement with the management was attempted, but that this was impossible (it must be remembered that the five resigners were people of the highest confidence of Rosa Pérez and had institutional positions), so they opted for the resignation In block.

However, it does not seem that this has altered or generated any change in the formation. In fact, when asked about the assessment of the National Political Council, management sources explained to this newspaper that after a "debate and exchange of impressions, all with respect, without tension, treating discrepancies for what they are, something normal in politics ", the conclusion was reached that "now it is time to close ranks, focus on the political task and work for the agreements and the third Botànic".
