The Valencian ministers promise their position to

The five new ministers of the Valencian Government have promised their position this Monday and have taken possession of their new portfolios. Three of them (Arcadi Spain -which changes to Finance-; Raquel Tamarit (Education and Culture) and Rebeca Torró (Territorial Policy) have promised in Valencian while Miguel Mínguez (Health) and Josefina Buena (Innovation and Universities) have opted for the Castilian.

All this in an act that has also become a tribute to the outgoing ministers, two of them heavyweights such as Vicent Soler or Vicent Marzà, who were in office since the first botanical government in 2015. Both, along with Ana Barceló and Carolina Pascual, have been applauded by those present.

Very fond of appointments, in his speech, the head of the Consell, Ximo Puig, has taken refuge in Keynes to justify his change of opinion and break the trend of recent years of not touching the members of his executive except in cases of Force Majeure. "The pandemic, the consequences of the war, the energy revolution forces us to change and update a current project that began in 2015."

In his speech, the Valencian president pointed out that a new stage was opening and that "this new Consell was born with the mission of relaunching the Valencian Community and guiding the Government's action towards the transformations that will mark this decade".

The socialist leader has applauded that, for the first time in history, the Valencian Government has more women than men and has indicated that "there is no turning back in the defense of real equality".

Likewise, Puig has highlighted that "today a new time begins" and the Consell changes with him to "deepen the three main axes of the Vía Valenciana", which are, as he recalled, stability, agreement and solutions.

Puig has indicated that he forms a Consell with the "clear guideline" to protect the planet, a challenge that "is not a toll", but an "ethical obligation" and, in addition, an "opportunity" to "turn the sustainable transition into more jobs of work".

"The great engine of this Consell will be to take advantage of the energy change to create more employment, more wealth and more well-being", Puig has indicated, who has stated that "there will be no progress without a respected planet, but there will also be no progress on a planet without work and social justice".
