According to Guterres, the negotiations took a "key step forward" in the talks held on Wednesday in Istanbul between Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN itself.

Speaking to journalists in New York, the Portuguese diplomat explained that there are agreements on several aspects such as the mechanisms that will control exports and the coordination system to facilitate the departure of grain from the ports, but some issues still need to be resolved. .
