The two women affected in a house fire on Thursday in Palma de Mallorca die

The two women, aged 55 and 66 and relatives of each other, who this past Thursday, November 2, suffered a fire in their home on Francesc Martí Mora Street, in Palma, have died. The 55-year-old woman died this past Friday, while her 66-year-old relative died late this Saturday. Both died due to the severity of the injuries suffered.

It must be remembered that the fire occurred this past Thursday around 7:00 a.m. and its extinction was achieved around 10:00 a.m. The fire started in the laundry room of the house and quickly spread throughout the house, since its inhabitants suffered from Diogenes syndrome and the house was full of junk and objects collected from the street.

When the emergency services arrived at the scene, they managed to stabilize the women, who were in cardiorespiratory arrest. Subsequently, they were transferred to Son Espases in critical condition, where they finally died.
