The truth that boards of directors hide

In the vast majority of cases, the executive directors of the companies present only one option to vote when an issue must be discussed in the board of directors, explains Pablo Foncillas, citing data from an investigation that determines whether the work carried out by this body it is rather one of supervision or management. The results are conclusive.

The work revealed that most of the topics that are addressed in the boards are of a supervisory nature and that in 99% of the cases the executive director offers only one option, which is usually supported by almost all the members. Other investigations in this regard show similar figures.

Based on these results, the teacher in general direction affirms that "everything seems to indicate that the process is designed so that (the members of the council) vote yes", which contrasts with the tasks that this body of business power must perform. But why do people always vote in the same direction? The reason has to do with the ego of the top managers of the companies and their "strong" determination to succeed.
