Sunset in Mataró, on the Maresme coast, is the moment when the sky doubles. And it is that, as can be seen in this photograph in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia, the calm waters of the port become a mirror of reflections during the twilight of sunset.
The port of Mataró, inaugurated in 1991, is the most modern in this area of the Catalan coast. It is eminently sporting, although it also has a fishing dock and a fish market.
In total, it offers 1,080 moorings for boats up to eighteen meters in length. The Club de Vela Mataró, whose social premises are located in the upper part of the port, organizes different courses and regattas.
In the snapshot we see how not only the clouds, but also the last lights of the sun in the last moments of clarity of the day, are projected on the waters.
The boats, anchored in a calm sea, seem like spectators with a front-row ticket to see the spectacle of reflections.
