The third edition of the Tech Spirit congress started this morning with 8,500 registered participants and 150 speakers, a clear growth compared to the two previous editions.
The event, held in Llotja de Mar, arose as a result of the cancellation of the Mobile World Congress in 2020 due to the pandemic and Tech Barcelona, the organizing association, has worked to consolidate the initiative in the city.
Miquel Martí, the general manager, has valued the first day very positively: "we are very proud to consolidate a format that allows us to recognize the efforts of all the agents of the ecosystem".
Throughout the morning various conferences have been held on innovation in sectors such as health and robotics and there have also been talks on investment activity and the role of public administration.
"It is a very interesting congress because it brings together all the players in the local ecosystem for two days. After two years of the pandemic, connecting in person is more necessary than ever," explained Marta Campillo, from BStartup, the investment vehicle for startups from Banc Sabadell, which today held meetings with 60 entrepreneurs thanks to an event organized by Acció, the Generalitat's agency for company competitiveness.
