The sweetest cruise for chocolate lovers

Traveling on a boat is an unforgettable experience and, now, also sweet. The blue waves outside and the chocolate rivers on board, this is the new cruise ship from the Italian company Costa Cruises. The company together with Barry Callebaut, a world leader in the production of high-quality chocolate and cocoa, have announced a cruise for chocolate lovers, the Chococruise - Explore the World of Chocolate. On the cruise, guests can now say goodbye to the diet, since each dish will have a special ingredient, chocolate.

The gastronomic itinerary will last a week, from November 17 to 24, and will travel around the Mediterranean with stops in Genoa, Marseille, Barcelona, ​​Cagliari, Naples and Civitavecchia/Rome. On board the Italian ship Costa Toscana, visitors will taste the creations made by five master pastry chefs: Alberto Simionato (Italy), Joël Perriard (Switzerland), Philippe Bertrand (France), Ramon Morató (Spain) and Alexandre Bourdeaux (Belgium).

The Chococruise program will include not only tastings, but also meetings, show cookings and workshops related to chocolate culture in the ship's kitchen laboratory. Throughout the week, the master pastry chefs will tell their professional stories and present their plates with this ingredient as the protagonist, from breakfast to dinner, even in savory dishes and cocktails.

But not only that, every day, guests will enjoy Destination Dishes, related to the country they will visit the next day, signed by one of Costa's three international chef partners, Bruno Barbieri, Ángel León and Hélène Darroz.

Ramon Morató, the chocolatier from Barcelona, ​​will also prepare his emblematic dishes and share the secrets of his cuisine along with other chefs. He is the author of Chocolate Ramon Morató, one of the best-selling books on the subject, winner of the award for Best Cookbook in the World on chocolate in 2007 at the distinguished Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, and has more than 30 years to his credit. of experience in the gastronomic world.

The drinks will also feature cocoa. With a collaboration with Bacardi, two Italian master bartenders will present special and unique cocktails using chocolate among the ingredients.
