While some traditional motorcycle manufacturers have been slow to immerse themselves in the field of electric alternatives, the number of new firms that have emerged to carve out their own niche in this market has multiplied around the world. Many of these smaller brands are the ones that are giving rise, more intensely, to a whole new generation of ecological motorcycles.

One of these recently created firms is Tarform Motorcycles, which was founded in 2016 and whose objective is to create motorcycles designed especially for young people that are focused on premium zero-emission models that are made with sustainable materials and equipped with technologies. advanced.

After its first electric motorcycle, called Luna, achieved considerable success in some countries and was even defined as "the motorcycle of tomorrow", the brand now presents the Vera. This new alternative stands out for its aesthetics with futuristic touches on a classic design and also for its high level of performance.

The Vera is conceived as a versatile motorcycle that can be used for both city commuting and off-road adventures. In terms of performance, the air-cooled electric motor, capable of generating 55 kW (equivalent to 74 HP) and 157 Nm of maximum torque, allows the motorcycle to reach a maximum speed of 137 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. h in just 3.5 seconds.

A 102 V 8 kWh lithium battery powers the motor and guarantees a range of 160 km when driving around the city. This battery recharges in just 2 hours. The electric motorcycle also benefits from a regenerative braking system to recover part of the charge while driving. The vehicle's equipment includes an Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes.

Aesthetically, the new Tarform motorcycle features a sleek body built around a lightweight aluminum chassis. Not to be overlooked is the presence of an inverted fork at the front, a round headlight, 17-inch aluminum wheels and all-terrain tires. The aforementioned aluminum chassis is designed with a modular philosophy that offers flexibility for future upgrades of both the motor and the battery.

The Vera prioritizes sustainability at all levels, which is why it is worth highlighting the upper body panel made of plant-based compounds and the seat upholstery made of an ecological alternative material to vinyl. All of this highlights the brand's commitment to reducing the use of polluting materials and waste.

The new electric motorcycle has a weight of 164 kg, which makes it reasonably manageable, making it more accessible to drivers new to two wheels. Its automatic transmission also makes driving easier.
