The Stuttgart footballer accused of rape in Eivissa will be released from prison on bail of 50,000 euros

The First Section of the Provincial Court of the Balearic Islands allows the Stuttgart footballer Atakan Karazor to be released from prison with a bail of 50,000 euros. The footballer has been in preventive detention since June 10 for an alleged crime of sexual assault on an 18-year-old girl. The Court has notified the athlete this morning of a car in which it imposes the avoidable provisional prison on bail of 50,000 euros.

Karazor must make regular appearances and has also decreed a ban on approaching and communicating with the victim. The Chamber has modified in the same sense the procedural situation of the other person investigated in this case that is being investigated by the Investigating Court number 4 of Eivissa.

The Provincial Court of Palma has held a hearing in which it has accepted the request of the footballer's defense and has ordered the avoidable prison on bail. The investigation has been open since last June 8, the date on which the alleged attack occurred. The victim reported that the events occurred in a villa in the municipality of Sant Josep, where the alleged aggressors were staying.

The 18-year-old girl denounced the events after receiving medical assistance at the Can Misses hospital, where various tests were carried out that, apparently, would confirm her version. The soccer player and his companion were arrested in the villa where they were staying.
