The Spanish breaking coach resigns for slapping a young man

A few hours before the start of the Breaking World Cup, a sport that will be Olympic in Paris 2024, Spanish break dance has experienced a real earthquake. Flex Nando, technical director and breaking coach, has resigned from his position after being filmed slapping a young man during a competition.

In the images, which quickly went viral, you can see how the coach coincides on the track with another b-boy (as they are practically called breaking), they get upset during the dance and Flex Nando ends up grabbing the 19-year-old years by the neck and giving him a slap.

The events took place during a test in Petrer (Alicante) and due to their repercussions, the Federation of Sports Dance (FEBD), which manages this modality, had to give explanations. At first, he limited himself to "rejecting and disapproving" Flex Nando's attitude, although he continued to "trust his professionalism".

But the embarrassing images reached the Spanish breaking team and its female star, the b-girl Law, threatened to resign from the competition if Flex Nando was not removed from his position. "My decision is that I will not compete in Korea or any other FEBD event as long as Flex Nando continues as technical director of breaking," declared Laura Garcia, known as Law.

The pressure seems to have had an effect and finally Luis Vañó Martínez, president of the FEBD, has announced the resignation of Fernando Amador, Flex Nando, as technical director: “Yesterday, Wednesday, I received an email in which Flex Nando announced his resignation as technical director of breaking in the FEBD. As president of the FEBD I have decided to accept and confirm his resignation ”, collects the letter.

Spain debuts today at the World Cup in Seoul (South Korea) with a team made up of Law, Furia, Grazy, Jhonny Fox and the great star, Xak, who finished fifth in the World Cup last year.
