Sofía Miranda, Councilor for Citizens in charge of Sports in the capital's City Hall, has informed her colleagues that she is leaving her position as deputy spokesperson for the group because "de facto" that "trust" had already been "withdrawn" by the vice mayor , Begona Villacis.
Miranda, who has clarified that he will continue to work within the municipal Ciudadanos group, has stressed that he "loves" his work in charge of the delegated area of Sports and in the Barajas district, and, despite the fact that since his departure he has said he has no intention to leave politics for which reason rumors have skyrocketed in Cibeles. that “no door is closed”.
The sports councilor acknowledges knowing that her future causes "a lot of interest" and if she will be linked to the PP, a partner of Cs in the Consistory, but has assured that "to this day" she is "focused" on her work.
All eyes have been quick to turn to the mayor, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, who has been quick to deny that Miranda has called the PP.
But when asked if he could be on the popular list by 2023, the councilor has indicated that it is not the time to talk about lists yet and that he is not going to speculate. "I do not feed any type of hypothesis in relation to these things, because I also believe that it is a matter of respect towards Citizens and towards Sofía Miranda herself", the councilor has intervened.
